Synopsis - When a Cardassian freighter departing DS9 explodes, Gul Dukat shows up unexpectedly at the station and asks Sisko to accomany him to the Demilitarized Zone, formed after new Cardassian/Federation border talks (re: ST:TNG #272 "Journey's End"). Upon approach they witness heavily armed Cardassian shuttles firing on an unarmed Federation freighter. Upon arrival at the colonies, they find heated discussions between the colony leaders. Back on DS9, Gul Ducat, awaiting transport back to Cardassia is kidnapped by group of Federation Terrorists who call themselves "The Maquis".
